Hyderabad chapter of the Ohara School of Ikebana believes in this philosophy and is striving to spread this beautiful Japanese Art.

Inspite of the limitations, the pandemic posed, our chapter has been organizing programs on virtual media and enhanced its presence nationally and internationally. To spread the essence and enjoy this serene art of Ikebana is the aim of our chapter.

The fusion of Art and Culture reflects the ethos of our Nation. Ikebana an art that originated as an offering to the divine has grown with immense possibilities worldwide.

Ohara School of Ikebana was founded by the revered Unshin Ohara and is at present headed by Hiroki Ohara.

Hyderabad chapter of the Ohara School of Ikebana is affiliated with the Ohara School of Ikebana, Tokyo, Japan. It was established in 1988 by Grandmaster Horyu Meena Anantnarayanan. Under her inspiring and dynamic leadership chapter has evolved with a distinct identity of its own. Successive Presidents, over the years, contributed to the chapter’s growth with various interesting and innovative programs. The chapter has around 350 members, with over 100 members actively participating in the programs.
